Pupil Premium

Chase Side Primary is an inclusive school serving a diverse community within Enfield. All of our pupils are valued as individuals and we strive to provide a supportive and nurturing environment where they all feel safe and are able to achieve their full potential.

The Pupil Premium Grant is a government initiative providing schools in England with additional funding to support and raise the attainment of specific groups of children who might otherwise be disadvantaged. This includes the following groups:

  •  Pupils who are entitled to Free School Meals due to qualifying benefits
  •  Pupils who have been eligible for Free School Meals at some time during the last 6 years
  •  Pupils who have a parent in the armed services
  •  Pupils that are, or have been, looked after by the Local Authority or are adopted

Our key objective in using the Pupil Premium Grant is to diminish the differences between pupil groups. As a school we consistently track all groups of pupils to ensure that they make good or better progress. Through targeted interventions we are working to eliminate barriers to learning and progress.
