Chase Side Primary School is a two-form entry primary school. Our published admission number (PAN) is 60 per year group. All admissions are processed by Enfield Council, which has determined the selection criteria.  The Admissions Service is responsible for co-ordinating the allocation of our Nursery and Reception places in Enfield to make sure that as many children as possible get places at schools of their parents’ and carers’ preference.

Information about admissions and schools in Enfield is available on the website www.enfield.gov.uk/admissions.  You will also access the online portal at this link, where you can make your application for a Reception / Nursery place.

Chase Side has a wonderful Nursery.  If your child was born between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021, you can apply for a Nursery place for September 2024.  This will be the September before their fourth birthday.  Please remember if your child attends our Nursery, you must apply for a Reception place in the same way as other applicants. There is no automatic right to transfer from Nursery to Reception. If your child was born between 1st September 2019 and 31st August 2020, you can apply for a Reception place for September 2024.

If your child is offered a place at our school, you will receive information in the Summer about your child’s induction into our Nursery or Reception classes.  You will be invited to an information session where we will share vital information to ensure you are part of our school community.

The online application process for September 2024 begins on 1st September 2023 until 15th January 2024 for Reception and 15th February 2024 for Nursery.  Offers will be made for Nursery and  Reception places in April 2024.

In-Year Admissions:

Pupils who join us after the school year has started in September will have an introductory meeting. Parents are required to visit our school with their child as part of the admissions process. All new admissions are supported to ensure they are felt welcomed and make friends easily. Our staff will monitor their transition and ensure they are well supported.
